Mr. Gold has practiced law for nearly 50 years. He has vast experience in many areas of law. While he considers himself a generalist in the business/corporate law arena, he is a certified specialist in the area of labor and employment law- one of only 125 in the state of Ohio. While most of his work in that area of law is on the employer’s side, he has successfully represented many employees-including company executives. In addition, he has a great deal of experience in business litigation transactional work. Because business planning leads to estate planning, he is active in that field as well.

His clients have included many hospitals, medical practices and other medical entities, steel mills, general industrial firms and retail establishments.

He has litigated in many local, state, and federal courts including The United States Court of Appeals in several cases. He has also represented many clients before various adminstrative tribunals, such as the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Ohio Rights Commission and the Internal Revenue Service.

As further indicated below, he is very involved in community activities and views community involvement as a lawyer’s duty. Ned is married to Debbie and in between them, they have three children, one of whom lives in Trumbull County and two of whom live in Colorado including son Gregory who is a Colorado lawyer. He is particularly proud of his work with The Boy Scouts of America as a 65+ year veteran. As a youth, he earned the Eagle Scout Award among others. As an adult, he has been awarded the Silver Antelope Award, Silver Beaver Award, Silver Sage Award (for his outstanding service at the Philmont Scout Ranch and as the founder of the Philmont Staff Association) and the Oustanding Eagle Scout Award. He continues to serve at the national, regional, local and unit levels of scouting.
